Welcome to the virtual gallery! Have a look around. Click on the pictures to get a better view and access information about them. The guest gallery is currently showing works by Claudia Cox-Linke who has this to say about her inspiration:

I live in Gaenserndorf, a small town with roughly 9000 inhabitants, near the capital, Vienna. Nature is one of my main sources of inspiration, although the landscape here is absolutely unspectacular, some even say, depressing; it's a big plain, where wheat and vegetables are grown. The summers are hot, the winters are cold and there is a lot of wind. What I am trying to say is that nature is never ugly, especially when you experienced it as a child. What I am trying to do (and I will work on a few bigger paintings, now I have some time, although now you have so few hours of daylight) is to represent landscape in a contemporary way, not aiming for the picturesque, nor for the dramatic, but for my personal view, I suppose.

The landscapes shown here are painted in acrylic on paper, and the male nude is drawn in pencil.
